About Saint Francis Builds
Our mission
At Saint Francis Builds, our mission is to provide essential home repairs for low-income seniors, veterans, and disabled homeowners in Southern Wake County. Through the support of volunteers and generous donations, we address critical repair needs that allow individuals to live safely and with dignity in their own homes.
We respond to the urgent needs of those living in unsafe or unhealthy conditions — restoring not just their homes, but their peace of mind, personal dignity, and overall well-being.
Who we help
Neighbors who should not have to choose between safety and staying home.
Every repair is carried out at no cost to the homeowner, by teams of local volunteers, using materials paid for by donations.
Veterans
Men and women who served, now facing repair bills they cannot meet on a fixed income.
Disabled homeowners
Ramps, grab rails, safe flooring and access work that turns a house back into somewhere a person can move around independently.

Every dollar buys materials.
Our 501(c)(3) non-profit organization relies on donations from individuals and corporations to provide for the materials and contract work required to make necessary repairs and upgrades to damaged homes. We utilize teams of local volunteers to undertake the work we do.
